Defensively, when you allow planets to idle without redirecting they build up large fleets, this is a lot like normal tower defense, waiting for enemy waves. Now that I think about it these games are a lot like inverted tower defense games, where the players control the waves of enemies instead of just waiting for them. I was thinking of using some tower defense elements, like purchasing upgrades to planets, allowing them to specialize in ship type. I'm interested in making a game like this and want to find as many examples to study as I can. Combat is automated, player mostly just directs traffic. Travel distance is usually limited to a planet or two's distance away so crossing the map requires daisy chaining your production. Each planet you control produces ships, you capture planets by redirecting ships and rerouting planetary production. r/lowendgaming - Game suggestions for yesterday's hardware This includes key resellersįor more information about these rules click here This includes referral links.ĭon't enable, encourage, or link to piracy.
